August is over, and for yacht brokers just about everywhere that means one thing: BOAT SHOW SEASON!

The world’s largest and most important Boat Shows are now upon us:

• Cannes Yachting Festival
• Monaco Yacht Show 
• Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show 

These Shows are tremendously important for yacht brokers, since they represent an opportunity to display yachts they have for sale to the buying public, and also escort their buying clients around the yachts that other brokers have on display. 

It is without a doubt one of the busiest times of the year for just about everybody!

If you are considering attending one or more of these Shows I would highly recommend the experience. The Cannes and Fort Lauderdale Shows are wonderful opportunities to familiarise yourself with the big production yacht manufacturers. EVERYBODY will be there, from Ferretti to Filippetti, and from Sunseeker to Sanlorenzo. Make sure you make appointments though, since the production builders are notoriously difficult about allowing folk on to their stands if they do not make prior arrangements. 

The Monaco Show on the other hand will display some of the largest yachts in the world. This year Lúrssen will be showing the amazing “KISMET” and I hear that Oceanco will have TWO yachts on display; DAR and 105 meter H3 by the way, you can see a walk through video of H3 that I filmed for the shipyard here. 

I’ll be attending these incredible shows, and while I may not be able to meet everyone, I’m making time at the end of each day for one-on-one chats about the Yacht Broker Master Class and the exciting world of yachting.
